Supports for child behavior problems at home and school

About Kevin:

My name is Kevin Kranson. I am an LPC-Associate under the supervision of Jennifer Cain (LPC-S, RPT-S). I have a Master's in School Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler and use my 12 years of experience in education to support neurodiverse children. I focus on working with children who have developmental delays and behavioral challenges. I provide Gestalt therapy to help children process unfinished business, remain present, and strengthen protective factors. I also draw on my experience running an elementary special education behavior unit to collaborate with parents on strategies to improve behavior at home and in school

Parent consultations offer a valuable opportunity to review your child’s progress and address any concerns or challenges. Drawing from my experience running a behavior unit at an elementary school and serving as a general education teacher, I provide practical advice and support tailored to your child’s unique needs. Together, we can discuss strategies to enhance your child’s development, improve school programs, and create effective connections between home and school. My goal is to ensure a cohesive, collaborative approach that empowers you and your child, fostering a positive environment for growth both at home and in the classroom.

I provide play-based support for children, especially those with special needs, in a safe and nurturing environment. Through engaging activities, I help them express emotions, build confidence, and develop essential skills. While not a registered play therapist, I use play as a tool for growth and learning under the supervision of Jennifer Cain. My goal is to meet each child where they are, using creative and personalized methods to support their development.
