FAQs
How much does a session cost?
Each session is $125. We aim to provide quality care at a fair, transparent rate with no hidden fees.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance at this time. However, we can provide you with a receipt (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Some insurance companies do not reimburse for services provided by LPC Associates, even with a superbill, because LPC Associates are pre-licensed professionals. However, if you have a PPO plan with out-of-network benefits, there’s a chance you may receive partial reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly and asking whether they reimburse for services provided by an LPC Associate under supervision. Please note: reimbursement is not guaranteed.
What is child counseling?
Child counseling is a type of therapy designed to help children and adolescents work through emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. A licensed counselor works with your child to build coping skills, express feelings in a healthy way, and improve overall well-being.
What issues can counseling help with?
Counseling can support children dealing with:
Anxiety and depression
Behavioral issues
Trauma or grief
Family transitions (e.g., divorce)
School-related stress or bullying
Social difficulties or low self-esteem
How do I know if my child needs counseling?
If you notice changes in your child’s mood, behavior, sleep, appetite, or academic performance, it may be a sign they could benefit from counseling. Sudden withdrawal, frequent meltdowns, or trouble forming relationships can also be indicators.
What happens during a counseling session?
Sessions are tailored to the child’s age and needs. They may include talk therapy, play based therapy, art activities, or other interactive methods. The goal is to create a safe, comfortable space where the child can express themselves freely.
Do you offer virtual/online sessions?
Yes! We offer secure teletherapy sessions for families who prefer or need remote counseling options.
